Oh god, the completely canon fail short story in the first KH short stories novel, the one where Riku and Axel are mysteriously BFF with Namine and each other and are hanging out at the mansion at the start of KH2 with no explanation (despite that this is the bit where Riku has stuck Roxas into the virtual reality to get Sora back, and Axel is sabotaging the whole thing to get Roxas back)…
I think it is making me ship Hayner/Namine?
Talk about pairings that will NEVER HAPPEN. They didn’t even interact in the games at all. :(

Kingdom hearts is essentially about one guy with a boatload of issues failing at his feelings for another guy until they catch up to him in an epic crash and burn and their female friend gets caught in the crossfire. Like. ALL of KH, no lie.

Okay wow, I just read the opening of the first KH short stories novel, and it was like. PUNCH TO THE FEELS. who would have thought Riku’s POV of the beach race at the start of KH could be so emo? Okay, me. But still. Let me translate a little bit for point making purposes:
“If Sora weren’t there… If Kairi weren’t there… If either one of them weren’t there, Riku could probably get along well with whoever was left.
But right now he didn’t know what to do.
The world he lived in was harsh enough to make him dream of a world without Sora, a world without Kairi.”
Because Riku feels unloved and left out and needs ALL OF THE HUGS.
Especially, you know, when you remember what happens for the next year or so of his life. :/
(Meanwhile you know Sora’s POV of this scene is basically HEY RIKU LET’S RACE!! :DDD wait what paopu? Kairi? Nooo! … It is a good illustration of the difference between Riku and Sora, really…)

Also, Vocaloid songs get amazing hand drawn/MMD pvs which you can find on nico douga or YouTube, and there are weekly, monthly and yearly rankings for individual Vocaloid characters and Vocaloid as a whole. It is so popular that there are now a wide range of Vocaloid songs at karaoke (in Japan, but also Australia) and they often top the most popular charts at the karaoke places.

Which is very good, btw, if a little psychologically scarring (why are Batman villains all so psychotic? I think I feel most traumatized by Scarecrow, as a player, but they all aspire to truly horrific depths). But anyway, the point is, I have been reading the character bios as I unlock them, and something like 4 out of 5 characters have blue eyes. Why is this? Is this a thing? DOES EVERYONE IN GOTHAM HAVE BLUE EYES?????
